Recruitment

CUDS generally recruits new members in the Spring and
train them for the next academic school year. CUDS advertises through
classes and professors in the Animal Science department in order to
attract students interested in the dairy industry. No large animal
experience is needed to join CUDS, just an interest time, and
committment to the club. Those interested in CUDS will fill out an
application and go through a fifteen minute interview with the group.
Members will then discuss the applicants and make their decision. New
members then start to attend meetings three weeks prior to the end of
the school year and start participating in milkings and heat check
chores where they will be trained by older members. New members will
then be ready to participate fully in August.
